Looking for a job while you're in school?


Having a part-time job while you are in school will give you greater financial independence and "real world" experience. Because working while going to school is a necessity for many students, you should expect competition for even minimum wage positions. Remember to get your foot in the door look for a job that is closely related to your field of study.

For example if you are studying to become a Medical Assistant, while you are in school look for related employment opportunities such a:
  • Home Health Aide
  • Receptionist (in a medical facility)
  • Home Attendant
  • Personal Care Aide
If you are studying to become a Pharmacy Technician, while you are in school look for related employment opportunities such as:
  • Cashier (In the Pharmacy Department of a Drugstore)
  • Inventory Associate (In a Drugstore)
